workshop on "Seismic expression of contourites and related deposits"
will be held in Trieste, Italy during October 16-18 2000. The workshop
is specially dedicated to contourite workers dealing with seismic data.
High-latitude (polar) glacially-fed contourite systems produced by the
interaction of downslope and along-slope processes will also be discussed.
The
workshop, endorsed by IGCP Project 432 "Contourites, Bottom Currents and
Paleocirculation" is organised by the Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia
e di Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS), Italy
